For 25 years, the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board has been at the forefront of connecting businesses, educators, and job seekers, helping all three thrive in our global economy. Through our initiatives, including the PA CareerLink Lancaster County, we provide essential support to local businesses, empower job seekers, and collaborate with educators to ensure our future workforce has the skills needed to succeed. While our everyday initiatives are federally funded, it is through the generosity of donors like you that we can implement creative and impactful projects. Your support has allowed us to launch initiatives such as:

• Career Ready Lancaster!: Strengthening the partnership between business and education.
• Pathways Home: Supporting justice-impacted workers on their journey to employment.
• What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?: Inspiring the next generation to explore careers in manufacturing 
• RoboticWorx: Engaging students in STEM through hands-on robotics experiences.
• Near Completers Grant: Helping degree seekers achieve their educational goals.

But why? In Lancaster County, nearly 12.9% of the labor force is over 55 years old, with 23.1% of workers in manufacturing sector nearing retirement age. This highlights the growing need for workforce development across various sectors. Employers and workforce developers MUST collaborate to equip the younger generation with relevant skills and encourage potential job seekers to pursue careers in these in-demand industries- and we must be creative while doing it to meet the business communities needs!

Who We Are

PA CareerLink Lancaster County offers in person and online resources to both jobseekers and businesses including career counseling and exploration, job search assistance, skills and interest assessments, a variety of workshops, job fairs and recruitment events, and post-secondary training and on-the-job training opportunities.
