No single organization does more to help Lancaster County families than CAP. Every year, CAP meets nearly 30,000 families exactly where they are. Whether they need a safe place for their child to learn and play or help achieving financial stability, CAP is there. For survivors of domestic violence, for children whose parents are in prison, for families trying to do right by their children, CAP is there. When families need help making ends meet, when they need help getting their lives together, when they want to go beyond surviving to thriving, CAP is there. Whether the program has helped families for generations, or is an innovative new approach to developing self-sufficient communities, CAP is there. Whether they’re infants or seniors, or a mother of two who needs child care to hold down a job, whether they live in Ephrata, Columbia, Lancaster, or Gap, the Community Action Partnership is there. By contributing to CAP during the Extraordinary Give, you can be there for them, too.
The Community Action Partnership of Lancaster meets the needs of low-income Lancastrians, wherever they are in life. Our more than twenty programs include Child Care, Domestic Violence Services, Parents as Teachers, and the Re-Entry Management organization, all working towards helping families achieve self-sufficiency.
