The Workforce Development Board and PA CareerLink of Lancaster County provide funding for skill training in high-priority occupations for Lancaster County citizens and match individuals with jobs that provide family-sustaining wages.
Build and maintain a workforce adequate to meet the emerging needs of current and prospective Lancaster businesses and that is equipped with a work ethic, foundational academic skills, and appropriate occupational skills.
Provide a photo ID and birth certificate for homeless, low-income, or others. Both are needed for employment. $25 can prove a ten day bus pass for two people who need transportation to work or training.
Provide an assessment for an individual looking to enter training to ensure they are ready to learn and earn. $100 can also help cover the cost of the High School Equivalency exam or purchase the required tools needed for someone to attend training.
Provide assessments and short-term occupational skill training in a high-priority occupation for individuals looking to enter the workforce.
