The Manheim Township Educational Foundation is a dynamic community organization dedicated to making the educational experience of all Manheim Township School District students exceptional. MTEF provides resources to educators, administrators and school-related groups for educational programs, preferably innovative, that benefit Manheim Township School District students.
Our role in the community: 1. Encourage educators to provide innovative programs that enrich the student’s learning experiences 2. Provide financial resources for enhancing academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities for all students 3. Create a sustainable process for resourcing grants, now and in the future 4. Grow resources for expansion of grant funded initiatives 5. Maintain a margin of excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics that prepares all students for future success
help subsidize the cost of a ukulele for a 4th grade student. U is for Ukulele provides all 4th grade students with a ukulele as an additional component to their general elementary music instruction. The ukuleles offer students the opportunity to perform chords, learn and read tablature AND play and sing in an ensemble setting.
help cover the cost of an IHT Spirit Adidas Zone bracelet for a high school student. These bracelets and the Zone system allows physical education students to exercise within heart rate zones appropriate for their individual fitness level, and to be graded on the personal effort and fitness improvement. Hopefully achieving personalized goals and receiving positive reinforcement will help students to stay fit throughout their life!
partially fund the cost of adding a Buddy Bench in at each elementary school! The Buddy Bench program helps promote healthy peer relationships and foster empathy, compassion, and friendship among students. These benches give students a place to go when the are seeking support from a peer and will serve as a visible reminder on the playground that all students should feel welcomed and accepted.
