Our Story
The Lancaster County Food Hub: Meeting Basic Human Needs
For over 75 years, the Lancaster County Food Hub has been the largest provider of free services addressing the basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter in our community.
Why Your Support Matters
Rising Demand: In 2023, we served 59,000 neighbors. This year, there has already been a 30% increase in families seeking assistance, reflecting the struggles many face with rising food costs, escalating housing prices, and everyday challenges.
Impact in 2023:
- 1.2 million pounds of food distributed, feeding 46,000 neighbors.
- 12,500 individuals received free clothing, providing dignity and relief for back-to-school needs, seasonal changes, and more.
- 80,000 hours of outreach support provided to Lancaster’s street homeless.
